Today, we are excited to have Julie Bishop, a Clearlight® authorized dealer at The Sauna Life, join us for an interview. Julie has a wealth of experience in the health and wellness industry and is a highly respected professional. With her background as an Advanced Biofeedback Practitioner, Nutrition & Detox Consultant at Zuma Nutrition, Hydration Distributor at Kangen Water, Detox Consultant at Microbe Formulas, Senior Sales Consultant at Neal’s Yard Remedies, and a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH), Julie is an expert in helping people improve their health and well-being. She also has an inspiring story of her journey back to good health after being told she had only three months to live due to breast implant toxicity, mold exposure, and other health issues that doctors were unable to detect. You can watch her incredible health journey on her YouTube channel or the video below. Today, Julie will be sharing her insights on the benefits of sauna therapy, the health conditions that can benefit from it, and tips for maximizing the benefits of a sauna session.
Q: What are some of the key benefits of sauna therapy?
Julie: Sauna therapy has numerous benefits for the body and mind, including weight loss and increased metabolism, temporary muscle pain relief, better sleep, detoxification, improved appearance of cellulite, ease joint pain and stiffness, stress and fatigue reduction, and improved skin.
Q: Are there any specific health conditions that would benefit from sauna therapy?
Julie: While sauna therapy is generally safe for most people, there are some contraindications and medical advice you should seek before use. For example, pregnant women, those with hemophilia, fever, insensitivity to heat, or alcohol abuse should consult their medical doctor before using a sauna. Additionally, infrared saunas should not be considered a cure for or treatment of any disease.
Q: Can you share some tips for maximizing the benefits of a sauna session?
Julie: To maximize the benefits of a sauna session, it’s important to shower before entering the sauna to clean the body from dirt or any skin impurities. You can also take a quality binder to mop up any toxins that you sweat out. I recommend Microbe Formulas Biotox Binder and dry brushing, gua sha, and jade roller for additional detoxification benefits. You should wear as minimal clothes as possible to allow for the body to sweat efficiently, relax your mind, use white organic towels to sit on and wipe off excess sweat, stay hydrated with a glass water bottle, use chromotherapy, turn on relaxing music, and use Raw Unflavored LMNT electrolytes. Finally, to maximize the benefits of a sauna session, take a cold shower or cold plunge after the sauna to close the pores and stimulate the body.
Julie’s story is a testament to the healing power of the body and mind.
